Welcome to the Wood Badge Blog !
What is Wood Badge?
Leadership training is for any Adult Scout Leader and the most fun you'll ever have on a training course. The training is designed for adults in all scouting programs including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturing and all other District and Council leadership positions.
Requirements:
You must be a registered adult scouter with basic training for your particular scouting position and the Outdoor Skills training appropriate for your position. There are no special physical or outdoor abilities required but we will be tent camping. You must be able to have fun!
Course Format:
Wood Badge is a six day course conducted over two full three day weekends. The first weekend reflects the unit meeting, while the second weekend uses a camping activity as its delivery model. The focus is on leadership skills not outdoor skills. And did we mention fun?
