WHO MAY ATTEND?

Wood Badge for the 21st Century is for adult leaders from all areas of Scouting - Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Varsity Scouting, Venturing, -- and all levels of Boy Scouts of America professional staff. Weather you have a unit, district, or council position makes no difference.

To attend a Wood Badge course, Scouters must

1. Be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America.

2. Have not previously attended a Wood Badge course.

3. Have completed the basic training & Leader specific training for their Scouting position.  CLICK HERE to view the MVC Training Website for training dates.

4. Have completed the outdoor skills training programs appropriate for their Scouting positions. (Outdoor Skills training is required for all Scoutmasters, Asst. Scoutmasters, and Varsity coaches and Assistants.)

5. Be capable of functioning safely in an outdoor environment. Successful completion of the BSA class 3 physical is required for all participants.

Note to Wood Badge participants from the old Wood Badge course:  you may attend this new Wood Badge for the 21st Century Course if space is available and "surrender" your beads until you have completed your new ticket.  If you have questions about the new course don't hesitate to ask the Course Director.
